By capturing spell-checked words from a student’s own documents, SpellDoctor automatically ties authentic writing to the word-study process. Each student receives regular, Web-based lessons containing his or her own errors, uploaded in their misspelled form. High-frequency errors are flagged and automatically trigger extra review.
The program also includes pre-loaded word lists. Students are matched to the list that best meets their needs. Each study word displays with a strategy designed to support proper spelling and usage. Teachers can manually add words as well. Web-based tools enable one teacher to manage dozens of completely differentiated lessons.
