SpellDoctor Installation Services
SpellDoctor is committed to making sure that each installation of our product is carried out with great attention to detail. Our technical staff is ready to work with on-site IT staff at any school. As SpellDoctor is a web-based product, the installation services we provide are relatively simple:
- Assistance with download and installation of our Word Logger applet. This is a simple matter and should be straight forward on any computer that meets our system requirements.
- Configuration of class rosters, including the loading of teacher and student names. These details can typically be uploaded from school databases.
- Loading of curriculum-based spelling lists for each grade. Again, many of these lists, depending on the publisher, can be uploaded. In this operation we can also attach each weekly segment to the school calendar to provide for automatic list posting. Teachers can elect when and how often to have review weeks. Teachers can also preload words from other subjects. For example, the state capitals may be added in to coincide with a Social Studies unit planned for a particular time during the year. (Extra words can also be added manually at any time.)
